Peach

I don’t own any of the characters, I’m not trying to maliciously step on anybody’s copyright, and I’m certainly not making any money from writing this.

Seth Hazlitt skulked back and forth across the frilly living room. He finally threw his hands up and cleared his throat. "Woman! That's enough!"

"But, but, but yoouuuu didn't like it!" Ideal Malloy wailed, dabbing her pretty eyes with a lacy handkerchief.

"I didn't say that. All I said was that it was different."

"But, but Seth. I worked on it all day. I bet you never complained about Jessica's peach cobbler."

Seth sighed and put his hands over his face. Although he did like most of her cooking, her desserts didn't hold a candle to Jessica's, something he wasn't about to admit. After all, he wasn't exactly privy to Jessica's cooking these days. He turned back and looked at the pretty, plump woman who was crying all because she had disappointed him. Her features were soft and she was just about the most feminine lady that he knew. He realized that he felt a soft spot in his heart for her. He crossed the living room back to the couch where she was sitting and still crying softly. He took a seat next to her and put his arm around her shoulders. He leaned over and kissed her soft cheek. She ceased crying and looked up at him with a shy smile. Seth couldn't help but smile back her.

"Ideal, let's agree on something. You keep making those delicious dinners and I'll bring the dessert. Ayuh?"

"Ayuh," she said with a nod.
